Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Planning a relaxing, fun-filled vacation to Myrtle Beach just got even better thanks to Oceana Resorts.  The full-service, luxury accommodation provider has announced a new Vacation Protection Plan that allows visitors to protect themselves from the unexpected.

Oceana Resorts is the only resort in Myrtle Beach to offer a vacation insurance policy for Myrtle Beach visitors. The Vacation Protection Plan can be added to a reservation for $20 and would refund a visitor’s deposit in full in case of cancellation, refund any unused portion of prepayment in case of early departure, and eliminate any charges should he or she have to depart earlier than anticipated.

Anderson Ocean Club Highly Anticipated Spa, The Awakening Spa, Officially Opens


MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The highly anticipated full-service spa at the Anderson Ocean Club - The Awakening Spa, officially opened its door on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.

Located on the fourth floor of The Anderson Ocean Club, The Awakening Spa has seven (7) treatment rooms, including one full wet massage room, a manicure and pedicure area, a relaxation room for guests, a changing room and Vichy showers.

The general public and guests at The Anderson Ocean Club are welcome to enjoy a variety of spa services such as facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, waxing, hair care, customized treatments and Ion Cleansing, a foot bath to detoxify the body and help sooth the muscles and joints. Special customized packages are available such as bridal and couple packages. Spa treatments for men are also offered.

Overseeing The Awakening Spa is Spa Director, Beth Marcis. As a seasoned spa veteran, Marcis is best known for her establishment, Her Body and Soul, in Surfside Beach, SC.

TRBOVICH AWARDED CERTIFIED HOSPITALITY TRAINER

BY AMERICAN HOTEL & LODGING ASSOCIATION

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Maureen Trbovich, the Performance and Development Manager of Oceana Resorts, has been awarded the Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) designation by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).  This announcement comes from Caroline Cooper, CHA, Chairman of the Institute’s Certification Commission and Dean, The Hospitality College, Johnson and Wales University.

The CHT designation is one of the highest achievements awarded by the Educational Institute.  To qualify for this distinction, hospitality professionals must demonstrate their skills and abilities through academic achievement and industry experience.  The program requires each candidate to complete a comprehensive examination which test skills in the areas of hotel operations, financial management, human relations, human resource management and administrative skills.  By completing the program, an individual proves their commitment and dedication to the industry and establishes themselves as attaining validated hospitality industry standards.

The Educational Institute is a nonprofit educational foundation of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.  It provides professional development opportunities for lodging industry employees at all levels who wish to advance their careers through independent study and professional certification programs.
